First, let’s address the most common concerns that potential students have when starting lessons:
I can’t read music: This is no need for concern, as you are in excellent company. Did you know that most famous bands and artists throughout history had no music-reading ability or formal training? When is the last time you saw your favorite band, singer/songwriter or guitarist with music stands and sheet music on stage? I offer a fantastic approach to sight reading that has helped students earn scholarships, so if reading is your interest, I have you covered.
I have no natural musical talent: Neither did countless students who later formed bands, recorded professionally and released CDs, or now regularly perform live. I can’t even begin to tell you how often this concern has been put to rest.
I tried lessons once but it went poorly: That may be true, but my lesson program is absolutely not like another program. I have seen a great deal of success with my students because of my continued focus on my students’ goals, comfort and happiness.
Frequently Asked Lessons Questions
Q: What Are The Lesson Rates?
Standard rates are $100 per month on four-week months (four 30-minute lessons), or $125 for five-week months. Yes, that is the least-expensive rate going for a lesson experience worth much more. Instead of worrying about cost, I want you to focus on gaining a new skillset. Holidays, snow days and other variables can affect (reduce) monthly rates, as will be explained in a lesson policy that you will receive upon starting lessons. (This will cover which holidays there will not be a lesson, what occurs in the event of inclement weather, make-up lessons, etc.)
