A confederation is essentially an agreement. The biblical term is often used to describe the chords God made with different people. God would give wonderful promises and ask the people to accept certain rules. Then your covenant with death will be annulled, and your consent with sheol will not exist; If the crushing plague passes, it depresses you. Do not deprive yourself of one another, except perhaps by unity for a limited time, so that you may surrender to prayer; but then you come together so that Satan does not seduce you because of your lack of self-control. The figurative use of the word in Matthew 18:19 makes it of particular interest. The word there is sumphoneo, where our word symphony comes from, which means a harmonious fusion. So this agreement is complete. Three people are introduced: God`s covenants are often misunderstood. To simplify, they are God`s affectionate agreements with us.
Understanding them helps us understand his plan for us. Many people today ask themselves the question of how God and man are related. Scripture responds to this letter by showing us that the relationship between God and man is based on an agreement called union. Covenants are often seen in the Old and New Testaments. One can even see that the name of the “Old and New Testament” speaks of this idea of the Covenant, since the word “testament” is Latin for the word covenant. A contract is a contract or agreement between two or more parties. The covenant was The way God chose to communicate to his people, to redeem them and to guarantee them eternal life in Jesus. This idea of a relationship without alliance between God and man is so fundamental and predominant in the Scriptures. We will keep three important biblical covenants and, as these were made in the scriptures of the New Testament.
Although not all of these covenants are in the Scriptures, these important covenants will allow for a broader understanding of the unity of the writing of the history of human salvation. This is the meaning of the word in Matthew 20:2; John 9:22 and other passages. In Mark 14:56 the word is isos and has not only the idea that their words did not correspond, but also that the testimony did not correspond to what the law required in such a case. The idea of being equal also takes place in 1 John 5:8. The Book of Hebrews explains that the error with the old covenant was not with the agreement, but “with them” (Hebrews 8:8). In the Scriptures we can see two different types of alliances, overlord/Vassal and unconditional covenants.
