Mike Anthony is your go-to place for inspiring teens to play the guitar like a pro. Mike’s proven formula for learning to play quickly starts with private guitar, bass or ukulele lessons. Group rehearsals are available to bring students’ skills together in a safe, collaborative and friendly environment. Teens are also encouraged to show off at the “U Rock Camp” performance camps held a few times each year.

Mike has an inspiring approach. Mike knows when to act as a teacher, coach and mentor to his students. His genre specialties include rock, blues, acoustic, country, pop, indie, alternative, funk, and metal. Mike also teaches performance and songwriting.

His lesson program is inspiring and fun and includes private guitar lessons for teens that will have students playing and performing the songs they love- as well as writing their own if they desire- with confidence.

Beginner Lessons

Mike teaches guitar lessons to beginners using a method that has inspired and encouraged students of all ages. Lessons will start with the fundamentals, such as rhythm, chords, tuning, strumming patterns, etc. You will quickly be able to begin your first song and progress steadily. As you gain skills, you will learn more complex songs and even create songs if desired. Mike is known for helping teens build confidence and using music to reduce anxiety and promote positive social skills.

Intermediate to Advanced

Mike Anthony’s intermediate and advanced lessons build on the skills that students have developed through their previous education and experience. Mike has helped students take their existing skills to levels beyond their expectations.
